Shibaura TTR-100 for TAB-to-glass bonding
The Shibaura TTR-100 is a fully programmable two-stage machine. It's designed to first tack TAB to glass then bond TAB to glass. The tack and bond position, temperature, pressure and time are programmable. Cameras are used to ensure precise alignment of TAB to glass. The automatic transfer of glass from tack stage to bond stage reduces handling time and ensures repeatability.
Using custom fixtures, the Shibaura TTR-100 can assemble or repair displays measuring up to 20" diagonally and with glass trace pitches as low as 50 microns.
HVT is the only service company in the US to employ this technology.
Shibaura TTR-200 for ACF-to-TAB tack
The Shibaura TTR-200, designed to apply anisotropic conductive film (ACF) automatically to the TAB, is fully programmable. ACF length, backing removal and placement are automatic, ensuring accuracy, increasing reliability, and minimizing handling and waste. Tack temperature, pressure and time are programmable, ensuring consistency and greatly reducing latent defects.
HVT is the only service company in the US to employ this technology.
